In cold, wet conditions on Thursday 1st February we made a start on the allotment project at Court Oak Allotments in Harborne. Two enthusiastic volunteers, Ryan and Shane braved the conditions and made an excellent start in breathing new life into our plot. Over the next few weeks, we're hoping to gradually get the ground cleared and ready to plant some vegetables from March onwards.

We're also aiming to develop some gardening projects in the gardens of different hostels, so residents can learn how to grow their own produce in raised beds and become more self-sufficient.
