Pearsons FC is one of the longest serving clubs in the Festival League and their history goes way back.
They used to be known as the EBBC and the former manager John Pearsons took over the club and called it Vine Athletic which was later changed to their name Pearsons Athletic. Bill Horsepool ran a club called Saltley Amateur when John Pearson sadly passed away. The two teams merged together and the club was renamed to Pearsons FC in loving memory of John Pearson.
In 2015 Pearsons won a major final against Yardley Dynamo and in 2016 they reached a semi-final and where the runners up in third division to gain promotion in the Premier One. This year they are in the Club Final and have become runners up in their division, which gains them entry into the Premier League.
After winning the cup and gaining promotion to the premier division the 2017/2018 season looked to be in jeopardy due to financial difficulties. Having gained a sponsorship from a local pub (The Garden Gate) it is still looking highly unlikely that Pearsons would even start their new challenge. New Roots sponsors Pearson FC and provides the team with a sponsored football kit with the New Roots logo, footballs and a first aid kit.
